Renowned singer Muskan Negi, whose voice transcends sight, is set to inspire audiences once again — this time on an international stage. The visually impaired vocalist, who also serves as an Assistant Professor at Government Girls College, has been specially invited to perform at the 3rd International Purple Fest in Goa, scheduled from October 9 to 12. Muskan will grace the stage on October 10, carrying with her a message of resilience, inclusion and boundless talent.
Recognised as a ‘Youth Icon’ by the Election Commission of India and Brand Ambassador of Umang Foundation, Muskan has earned wide acclaim for her musical brilliance and advocacy for social change. Her journey has taken her from national platforms to international stages, including performances in the US where her melodious voice moved audiences across cultural boundaries.
The International Purple Fest, jointly organised by the United Nations, the Government of Goa and the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, stands as a global celebration of diversity and empowerment. The festival aims to amplify the voices and rights of persons with disabilities, fostering meaningful dialogue on inclusion, accessibility and equal opportunity.
Across its four-day span, the event will feature interactions with disability experts, cultural performances and sports competitions, all designed to showcase not limitations, but limitless possibilities.
For Muskan Negi, the Purple Fest is more than a performance; it’s an anthem of dignity, courage, and the unyielding human spirit — a reminder that true vision lies in the heart that dares to dream.
