The Central University of Himachal Pradesh inaugurated its official podcast channel, “Uncharted Tales”, an innovative initiative by the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication under the School of Journalism, Mass Communication and New Media. The launch ceremony was held in the presence of university leadership and distinguished faculty, marking a new chapter in digital academic engagement.

The event was graced by Prof Sat Prakash Bansal, Vice-Chancellor, who appreciated the department for providing students with a platform to showcase their creative voices through newly emerging media formats. He emphasised the university’s commitment to blending traditional academics with evolving communication tools.

“The NEP represents a paradigm shift towards holistic education that nurtures critical thinking and creativity,” said the VC, highlighting how the university has embraced these progressive reforms. Dr Archna Katoch, Dean of the school, congratulated the students and the faculty and highlighted the importance of such student-led digital initiatives in strengthening media literacy and experiential learning. Prof Aditya Kant, who coordinated the project, shared insights into the podcast’s vision.

D Litt conferred on VC

Keeping in view his unparalleled contribution in the field of education, the degree of D Litt (Doctor of Letters) was conferred on Prof Sat Prakash Bansal, Vice Chancellor, Himachal Pradesh Central University, by Himalayan University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Meanwhile the students and the faculty looked enthusiastic.
