Following the instructions of the Chief Electoral Officer, Himachal Pradesh, a programme for the special brief revision of voter lists has started in the Nurpur Assembly constituency, and will continue till November 28.

In order to facilitate the programme, some educational institutions in the constituency have been chosen for setting up Booth Level Officer (BLO) help-desks for the convenience of electors. Designated government employees/officers will assist new eligible voters in getting their names registered in the voter lists at their nearest polling booths.

Nurpur SDM Gursimer Singh said the BLO help desks had been established at Government Arya College, Nurpur; Government ITI, Nurpur; VVM College, Malkwal; Kamakshi Nursing College, Bassa-Waziran; A-one BEd College, Raja ka Bagh; and Shyam ITI and Shastri ITI, Jassur.

He appealed to all citizens, political parties, non-governmental voluntary organisations, mahila mandals and youth clubs to inspect voter lists with photographs published in the prescribed format by November 28 at any of the above places.

The SDM said any eligible citizen, who was aged 18 or above on the qualifying date of April 1 and October 1, 2025, could also submit an application till November 28 to get his name included in the electoral roll.
