Addressing a press conference here today, Bollywood singer Shilpa Surroch said that she wants to promote and showcase Himachal’s culture and music to the world.

She said she has launched a new single, ‘Bani Thani’, a Himachali folk song, which is being lauded by the audience and has garnered positive response. She said Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, also praised her for her efforts and encouraged her to actively participate in Himachali cultural events.

She said her next song, influenced by Punjabi folk music, is titled ‘Na Ja’. Born in Hamirpur, Shilpa has gained recognition for her songs in films like King of Kothya, Jai Mummy Di and Mirzapur.
