Construction material dumped on Dehra-Ranital NH

The contractors building retaining walls on the Dehra-Ranital National Highway have dumped their construction material on the road, making it dangerous to drive on the stretch, especially during the night. The width of the road has been reduced to a single lane, with just one vehicle passing at a time. The material has been lying on the road for over two months. Just to save some labour and expenses, the contractor is playing with the life of commuters. The authorities concerned should take action against such contractors. — Vinod Kumar, Dehra
