The Department of Commerce, Government Degree College, Jawali, organised a webinar on ‘Decoding Budget 2025: Key Direct Tax Changes and Implications’ on Monday.

The session was attended by faculty members, students and professionals. In the webinar, a comprehensive analysis was provided relating to latest direct tax changes introduced in the Union Budget 2025.

The webinar commenced with a warm welcome by Nishant Narang, Assistant Professor of Commerce, who highlighted the significance of understanding tax reforms and their impact on businesses and individuals. He emphasized that such discussions play a crucial role in bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world applications.

Dr D K Sharma, Principal, Govt Degree College, Jawali, delivered the inaugural address and encouraged students to stay updated with financial and economic policies to enhance their practical knowledge.

The keynote session was led by Yogesh Raheja, a renowned Chartered Accountant and Registered Valuer. He provided an in-depth analysis of the key direct tax amendments introduced in the Budget 2025 and their potential implications for taxpayers.
