According to the weather department, the precipitation deficiency will reduce further as a fresh active western disturbance will hit the region on February 25.

“Over the last two days, we have recorded snowfall and rainfall in almost every district. We have recorded the highest snowfall in Lahaul and Spiti (42 cm), while the highest rain has been recorded in Nagrota Suriyan (56 mm) in Kangra,” said a weather official.
