GARBAGE, especially disposable plates and glasses, alongside stalls at the Ridge is a painful sight. The rampant littering of garbage is degrading this historic place. The Ridge is a heritage site, and throwing garbage here gives the town a bad name. Not only this, it also encourages others to follow suit and add to the heaps of garbage. The authorities should look into this matter on priority in the interest of the area residents.

Smoking in public places in Shimla
CONSTANT persuasion, police vigil and small fines made it possible to deter people from smoking in public places. However, recently, I have often found people going back to smoking in the public. The HP Police must take charge now and curb this menace, as the issue may be going to be out if control soon.
