THE iconic colonial structure housing the State Bank of India's main branch near Kali Bari in Shimla is a striking example of neo-Tudor architecture. Once occupied by the Imperial Bank of India in 1924, and later by SBI, this building holds immense historical value for Shimla, the state, and the country. Considering its heritage significance, the SBI management should act promptly to repair these patches and restore the building's grandeur. —Jawahar Kaul
