Stray dog menace

THE population of stray dogs seems to be increasing by the day, and has become a headache for residents of Shimla. Pedestrians fear for their safety while passing through various paths of the town because of stray dogs. These dogs bark at and bite pedestrians, endangering people, especially the senior citizens and children. The municipal corporation should take effective steps to curb this menace. —Roshni, Shimla
