What our readers say: LarJi-Sainj road not fully repaired
THE condition of the Larji-Sainj road has not improved even after 17 months of the natural disaster that occurred here. Neither the NHPC nor the Public Works Department is taking care of this road, which connects a population of around 20,000 residents of 15 panchayats in the area. The road has suffered major damage on over six places. Many stretches of the road have washed away. The road has been temporarily restored, but neither embankments have been built nor a protective wall been erected. Commuters are hassled and travelling has become hazardous on road. The NHPC and the PWD should carry out necessary road repairs at the earliest. —Subhash, Sainj, Kullu
