For the past five months, the historic Malana village has been facing problems due to the lack of road facilities. The road connecting to Jari was damaged at several places due to the disaster on July 31. Villagers have to traverse around 10 km on foot to reach Jari. The elderly and patients are the most troubled by this. Villagers are forced to buy goods at high prices due to high transportation charges. About 150 vehicles are stuck, and the livelihood of many people has been badly affected. The repeated request with the government, administration and project management has gone unheard. The refurbishment of the road should be expedited.
