Treatment is not being provided under Ayushman and Himcare schemes in the Ayush hospitals of Kullu and Katrain as there are no data entry operators in both hospitals. It has been more than six years since both schemes were started, but patients have not been able to avail benefits yet. The then Deputy Commissioner had instructed the Ayush Department in 2021 to appoint data entry operators on outsource basis under the Rogi Kalyan Samiti. Despite this, the department has not been able to work towards providing facilities to the patients and they are bearing the brunt of departmental delay.

Kullu Mahotsav should not be held on road

The Kullu Mahotsav being held on the Mall Road in Dhalpur since December 25 has become a nuisance for the commuters. The event was to be held till December 31, but cultural programmes were halted due to national mourning. Now, the Kullu Municipal Council has decided to continue the event till January 6 and the stalls installed along the road will be allowed till January 10. Due to the closure of the main road and diversion of traffic through the hospital road, parking is not available for those going to the court, secretariat and other offices. Loudspeakers further causes inconvenience to the patients admitted at the nearby hospital. Local businessmen are also a harried lot as such events impact sales. Such events should be held on vacant grounds in Dhalpur. Bharat, Kullu
