THE road from the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies to Summerhill has deteriorated significantly, with deep potholes causing daily trouble for commuters. Being a busy stretch, especially for two-wheeler riders, the poor condition of the road poses safety hazards. It’s difficult to ride on this road. Two-wheelers are at risk of skidding or accidents. The authorities must repair it at the earliest. —Ramesh, Summerhill

Reading room not reader-friendly

A number of senior citizens and regular readers have expressed dissatisfaction over the condition of the public reading room, which was shifted a few years ago from the building near Scandal Point to the State Library near The Ridge. The earlier room above the Tourism Office was spacious and well-equipped. In contrast, the new setup is inadequate and poorly maintained. The authorities must provide a better facility that meets the needs of senior citizens. —Jawahar Kaul
