HIGH-RISE, unattractive steel structures are being constructed opposite the Lakkar Bazar Police Post, completely obstructing the valley view. This development is not only an eyesore for Shimla's residents but also for visitors who come to admire the town's scenic beauty. Once these structures are complete, Lakkar Bazar will be left with only one valley view spot near DAV School. If it is necessary to erect steel towers, they should not rise above the road level. Such unplanned construction is tarnishing the beauty of this historic hill town and goes against the norms of hill-town development.
