Wife of IPS officer duped of Rs 10 lakh

A woman has been booked for duping the wife of an IPS officer of Rs 10 lakh. The accused has been identified as Salma Khatoon, wife of a constable cook working in CRPF Group Centre, Guwahati, Assam.

In the police complaint filed by Anju Ohja, she alleged that when her husband Sanjeev Ranjan Ojha was posted in Guwahati, Assam from 2020 to 2022, Salma, who resides with her husband in the CRPF Group Centre, Guwahati, had borrowed Rs 10 lakh from her and promised to return it soon.

She alleged that now Salma was refusing to return the money due to which she decided to file a case against her.
