Hamirpur, July 9
“The Congress leaders were busy in spreading rumours against me during the election campaign instead of talking about the achievements of the Sukhu-led government,” said BJP candidate Ashish Sharma here today.
He said the Congress leaders and candidate only tried to malign his image and did not speak a word on development of the constituency and issues pertaining to the welfare of people.
He said people of the constituency would respond to the misinformation and false propaganda of the Congress by voting in favour of the BJP.
Sharma said he would move court for justice against fake allegations levelled against him during the election campaigns.
The BJP candidate said Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had appreciated him during his public meetings, but after his resignation the CM changed from his words. He added that the CM only told lies to save his government and the Congress party from humiliation.
Sharma said he was thankful to the BJP leaders and workers who worked day and night to ensure his victory in the election.
He said in last five years, he had served the people as a social worker, including 18 months as an MLA, adding that he would continue to serve the people of the constituency.
