Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today said that the government would make a provision in the Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana to provide rent to orphan children for hiring accommodation. He interacted with the beneficiaries of various schemes during the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ programme held at Nakki village in Pragpur of Kangra district.

Prince Sharma, a beneficiary of the Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana, said that he was doing MBA from the Regional Centre, Dharamsala, and the government was bearing the entire expenses of his studies. However, as there was no hostel at the centre, he was putting up in a private accommodation. On this, Sukhu said that to ensure that the studies of children were not hampered, the government would make a provision in the scheme to provide rent amount to them.
