With 36 cases, Solan adds to high viral load; tally mounts to 3,150

With 103 fresh cases, the Covid tally today mounted to 3,150, including 12 deaths.

Solan district reported 36 cases, mostly from the industrial belt of Baddi-Barotiwala. Fifteen persons were found infected in Sirmaur district. Chamba reported 13 cases, followed by 12 in Kangra, eight each in Una and Shimla, six in Kullu, four in Bilaspur and one in Mandi. Eight cases were reported from Shimla. These included four SSB and three Army personnel. They have been isolated at the Jutogh cantonment board.

8 Army men positive

Twelve more persons tested positive in Kangra. Those who tested positive include a 42-year-old man of Banni village, near Paragpur, with no travel history; a 23-year-old Army man, a resident of Lag Dadhu village, near Dehra, with a travel history of Delhi; a 46-year-old Army man of Chabuan village in Jawali with travel history of Nagaland; a 43-year-old Army man of Ganour village, near Fatehpur, with a travel history of Bhopal; and a 42-year-old Army man of Bhagwal village, near Fatehpur, with a travel history of Roorkee.

Others infected are a 22-year-old Army man of Bhab village, near Fatehpur, with a travel history of Delhi; a 45-year-old man of Batrahan Dari village, near Fatehpur, with a travel history of Ludhiana; a 36-year-old Army man of Bodhal village, near Palampur, with a travel history of Delhi; a 52-year-old Army man of Kamlehar village, near Palampur, with a history travel of Delhi; a 32-year-old Army man of Jarot village, near Jawali, with a travel hisotry of Delhi; a 27-year-old man of Patialkar, near Nagrota Bagwan, with a travel history of Gurugram; and a 21-year-old man of Kaled village, near Nagrota Bagwan.

MLA’s PSO infected

Fifteen persons, including the personal security officer (PSO) of the Pacchad MLA, were found infected in Sirmaur district. DC, Sirmaur, RK Pruthi said 10 cases reported from Nahan were the contacts of positive patients. Four cases were reported from Paonta Sahib.
