Withdraw bus fare hike, says Kaul

Senior Congress leader and former Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur criticised the government for the hike in bus fare and sought its rollback with immediate effect.

He said in the Covid crisis, the people had lost their sources of income. Now, the state government was burdening them with the hike.

Kaul Singh said the people were expecting relief and the government should make efforts in this direction. He said the surge in Covid cases showed that the government had failed to control its spread. The government should prepare a strategy to check the spread of the virus. Kaul Singh also took part in an apple plantation programme.
