Woman dead, another missing after houses collapse in Kullu landslide

The landslide, triggered by heavy rainfall, engulfed the houses in a massive heap of debris and triggered a frantic rescue operation.
According to initial reports, two women were feared trapped or swept away by the landslide. One body has been recovered from the spot, while a search is underway to trace another victim.
Upon receiving the information, teams from the Ani Police Station and the Fire Department rushed to the spot. Locals have also joined the rescue efforts, digging through the debris in a race against time.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ani Laxman Kanet confirmed the incident and reported that search operations are underway to locate the second woman.
Authorities have assured that all possible assistance will be provided to the affected families. The incident has once again highlighted the vulnerability of hilly regions like Kullu to natural disasters, especially during the monsoon season.
