“Tourism is an important sector from the point of view of increasing the economic resources in the state for which development of the road infrastructure is very important,” said Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania here yesterday. He performed the bhumi pujan of the Raipur-Fagot link road in the scenic Bhattiyat valley in Chamba district.

During the one-year tenure of the Congress government, 23 link roads were being constructed in the Bhattiyat area, said Pathania. The work on more than 50 km roads would be completed within the next six months, he added.
