Workshop on happiness curriculum



A workshop was held at the HP Board of School Education, Dharamsala, to incorporate happiness curriculum into the school schedule across the state. Chairing the meeting, Dr Suresh Kumar, Chairman of the Board, said the introduction of happiness class would go a long way in providing a stress-free environment to children. Internationally renowned expert Yogesh Kochhar, who is currently residing in Dharamsala, made a presentation, depicting how introduction of happiness into the curriculum would bring out better results and prove to be a stress buster for students.

Students’ ideas to save environment

At this time, when the whole world is struggling with coronavirus, children of Cambridge Global School, Thural, Kangra, have pledged to save the environment. Children made colourful posters to express their feelings about the environment. They displayed their talent with the help of slogans, models and saplings. Their presentations sent online were monitored by the school staff. The talent of the students was appreciated. School Director Tania Jamwal and Principal Sushil Awasthi praised the ideas presented by student for saving the environment.

Nauni varsity not in NIRF ranking

Dr Parvinder Kaushal, Vice-Chancellor, Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, said “We will be comprehensively studying the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking parameters to see if the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has made any changes in the five major ranking parameters, as this year no specialised Agricultural, Horticulture and Veterinary University has found place in the top 200 university list. Last year, nine such universities, including UHF, had featured in the top 100.” Notably, the university’s name did not figure in this year’s ranking though it had been making it to this list for the past several years.
