Girls from leading CBSE-affiliated schools across North India showcased remarkable talent at the CBSE North Zone-II Lawn Tennis Tournament (Girls), held over three days at Akal Academy, Baru Sahib, in Sirmaur.
The tournament featured spirited competition in three age groups: under-14, under-17 and under-19, where young players displayed outstanding skill, determination and sportsmanship.
In the under-14 category, Modern Delhi International School, Faridabad, secured first place, followed by Mind Tree School, Ambala. The third position was shared by MVN School, Aravali Hills, and Manav Rachna School, Mohali.
The under-17 title was claimed by Ryan International School, Chandigarh. Little Angels School, Sonepat, came second, while Sacred Heart Convent School and KHS, Phagwara, shared third place.
In the under-19 division, Little Angels School, Sonipat, took the top honour. Delhi Public School, Faridabad, finished second, with Cambridge International School, Jalandhar, and the host school Akal Academy, Baru Sahib, jointly placing third.
The closing ceremony featured motivational messages from dignitaries and the distribution of trophies and certificates. Participants and guests praised the host school for its excellent hospitality, including hygienic boarding, nutritious meals, and a disciplined yet friendly atmosphere.
