Youth dies in Seraj in accidental gunshot fire
In a tragic incident in Parwada village, located in the Seraj Assembly constituency of Mandi district, a young man was fatally shot while hunting with his friends.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Chet Ram, was part of a group hunting wild fowls. According to reports, while returning home at night, a firearm belonging to one of his companions, Hem Raj, got fired accidentally. The gun’s trigger was reportedly in the firing position when Hem Raj lost his balance, causing the gun to go off and strike Chet Ram in the back of his leg.
He was rushed to the Bagsiad Civil Hospital for treatment, but the victim succumbed to his injuries from excessive bleeding before reaching the hospital. The incident has sent shockwaves through the area, which had been celebrating the arrival of the new year.
According to the police, a case has been registered and investigation was underway in this case. The incident has left the victim's family devastated as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
