Arun Kumar (28), a resident of Jogindernager subdivision in Mandi district, succumbed to jaundice at the Tanda medical college in Kangra today. This was the third jaundice-related death in Jogindernagar this year.
According to official sources, Arun had contracted the disease on July 26 and initially sought treatment at a local private clinic. However, as his condition worsened, he visited a government hospital. He was subsequently shifted to Tanda medical college where he passed away.
The district health authorities have urged local residents to drink water only after boiling it.
They also emphasised the importance of seeking prompt medical attention to ensure timely treatment and avoid severe complications.
