A young boy aged 17 years reportedly got drowned in Kunah Khud near Janglu village in Nadaun subdivision of the district today.

The youth was identified as Rohit Kumar, son of Sanjeev Kumar of Bara village near Kunah khud. It is learnt that the boy had gone for swimming in the stream with his friends and did not surface after he dived into the deep water body. After some time, his friends narrated the details of the incident to police.

Police said that the search operation to trace and fish out the body was on. He added that machines were also put into service to drain out the water to trace the body. He said that the search would continue till body is recovered.
