Youth found dead in Mandi market

A 26-year-old youth was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a toilet at Indira Market, Mandi town, today. The deceased was identified as Lokesh Kumar, a resident of Tarna in Mandi. On receiving information, the police arrived at the spot and found the unconscious youth. The youth was immediately rushed to the Zonal Hospital in Mandi for medical attention where doctors declared him brought dead.

The cause of his death remains unclear. The authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report for further clarification. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the exact circumstances that led to untimely death of the youth.

Mandi SP Sakshi Verma confirmed the incident, while stating that an investigation was in progress and further details would be revealed on receiving the autopsy report. The incident has raised concerns among local residents. The police are exploring all possible leads to solve the mystery surrounding the youth’s sudden demise.
