In a remarkable display of collective effort, youth of Udaipur gram panchayat near Chamba district headquarters have successfully transformed 150 bighas of barren land into a fully functional sports ground. Rakesh Kapoor, President of the Youth Sports Club Udaipur, said that the idea of promoting sports and keeping youth away from substance abuse led to the inception of this project five years ago. With the support of the gram panchayat and assistance from government schemes, this initiative has now turned into a significant achievement.

The youth involved in the project stated that the ground now facilitates various sports, including cricket. The entire village is committed to completing the remaining construction work, with approximately 70% of the project already completed.

As a result, a fund of approximately Rs 54 lakh has now been sanctioned to accelerate the remaining construction.
