Twenty volunteers of the Nehru Yuvak Kendra conducted a cleanliness drive in Children Park at Hira Nagar in the town here today. They removed the garbage littered in the park and forest area near the park. Over 2,000 people from all age groups visit the park daily.

The park is usually littered with garbage despite the fact that bins have been installed there. Garbage can be seen on the trails of the park and forested area near it.

The Forest Department had tried its best to keep the park clean and green, but it was becoming a difficult task without people participation.
