Shimla, February 28
There are 64 gazetted officers, including an IG and SP rank officers, whose names have been placed in the list of officers with doubtful integrity (ODI), including maximum of 18 from the Health and Family Welfare Department.
This information was furnished by the government in reply to a written query by Rajinder Rana of the Congress today. He had sought details from the government on the names, department, place of posting of officers who had been placed in the ODI list between November 15, 2018 to November 2019.
The names of IGP ZH Zaidi, SP DW Negi and DSP Manoj Joshi also figure in the ODI list. They are facing action following their role in the investigation of the Gudiya rape case in Kotkhai, including the custodial death of one of the accused, Suraj.
The maximum number of 18 officials from the Health Department figure in this list. It has been mentioned that seven of the doctors have been dismissed from service while two doctors are absconding.
There are five doctors from the Ayurveda department and 11 doctors from the Animal Husbandry department whose names are in the ODI list.
Out of this, three Ayurveda doctors have already been suspended by the government. The list also has 10 officials, including six teachers, whose integrity is doubtful. — TNS
