ZP member booked under SC/ST Act

The police have booked Dile Ram, Zila Parishad (ZP) member of Thachi ward under Seraj Assembly segment of Mandi, and a youth, Vijay Kumar, for misbehaving with some Scheduled Caste youths during the Shivratri fair in Mandi.
The police said Susheel Kumar of Panjain village had lodged a complaint that he was sitting with four other youths to have lunch in Mandi on Thursday.
Susheel said when Vijay Kumar of his village saw them, they told them to sit separately at another place.
Susheel Kumar alleged that at the same time, Zila Parishad member Dile Ram arrived at the spot and threatened them with dire consequences if they did not do so.
