Students from Punjab, Haryana shine in UPSC civil services exam

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil services examination results brought cheer to several families across Haryana and Punjab, with young achievers from the region securing top ranks in one of the country’s most prestigious exams.

The results were declared on Tuesday.

In Punjab’s Jalandhar, Arushi secured 184th rank with the family claiming she benefited from coaching classes run by the district administration.

Sidaq Singh, a student of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), secured 157th rank while Swati Phogat of Charkhi Dadri secured 306th rank.

Panipat too had its share of good news with its resident Shivali Panchal, currently undergoing training for the Haryana Civil Services (HCS), securing 53rd rank.

Bahadurgarh also saw dual success with Aditya Vikram Aggarwal securing ninth rank and Abhilash Sundram earning 129th rank.
