As many as 35,819 candidates appeared for the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) at 71 centres across the country on Saturday, with the Union Health Ministry saying no instances of untoward incidents were reported.

“The content was successfully downloaded at all test centres and the examination started smoothly. A team of officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs visited the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) headquarters. No untoward incident has been reported,” the ministry said.
