Following the registration of FIRs owing to their alleged involvement in the Red Fort blast, the National Medical Commission on Friday has cancelled the registration of four doctors -- Dr Muzaffar Ahmad, Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather, Dr Muzamil Ganaie (all registered with the J&K Medical Council) and Dr Shaheen Saeed (registered with the UP Medical Council).

The NMC, in an order, said the conduct of doctors was “prima facie inconsistent with the standards of ethical propriety, integrity and public trust expected of members of the medical profession…” under relevant clauses of the Indian Medical Council regulations. “Consequent upon such removal, the said practitioner shall cease to be entitled to practice medicine or to hold any appointment as a medical practitioner till further orders,” the order said.
