According to a notification issued by the SC, the summer vacation — rechristened as ‘partial court working days’ – is scheduled from May 26 to July 13. The top court will regularly function from July 14, the notification added.

In all, there would be 21 vacation Benches, and two to five Benches will sit during each of the “partial court working days” as against the earlier practice of having only two vacation Benches, not manned by senior judges.

The Registry will remain open from 10 am to 5 pm on Monday-Friday for all officers and staff. It will remain closed on all Saturdays (other than July 12), Sundays and public holidays.
