7 cops suspended over laxity in cow slaughter cases

Seven policemen have been suspended over alleged laxity in handling cow slaughter cases in Sakoti area of Meerut.

On December 11, Meerut SSP Vipin Tada suspended the entire Khiwai police outpost over negligence in curbing cow slaughter cases. All SHOs were instructed to curb cow slaughter cases and warned of action in case of failure, he said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
