AS Chhath Puja nears, PM Modi urges citizens to share songs dedicated to the festival
The four-day festival begins with Nahay Khay on Saturday
As Chhath Puja nears, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday took to the social media platform X to celebrate the spirit of the festival and urged citizens to share songs dedicated to it.
“The great festival of Chhath, dedicated to nature and culture, is approaching. Devotees across the country, especially in Bihar, are preparing for it with deep devotion. The songs dedicated to Chhathi Maiya enhance the grandeur and divinity of this sacred occasion. I urge everyone to share Chhath Puja songs with me. Over the next few days, I will share them with people across the country,” the Prime Minister said in the post.
The Prime Minister’s message comes as preparations for Chhath Puja gain momentum across the country. The four-day festival, which begins with Nahay Khay on Saturday, is dedicated to the worship of Sun God and Chhathi Maiya, symbolising purity, gratitude and deep faith.
