The post calling for a revolution as by Gen Z revolt in Nepal and Sri Lanka, came just 48 hours after a tragic stampede at a TVK rally in Karur killed 41 people.

The DMK, under scrutiny for its handling of the incident, condemned the post. MP Kanimozhi called it "irresponsible".

In the Tamil post, the screenshot which is viral now, says, "A youth-led revolution is the only solution. 'Gen Z' in Nepal and Sri Lanka revolted against the ruling government. Here also youth will lead a revolution. And it will be the reason for a change in government. Under a wicked ruler even the laws turn wicked," he said, accusing the Tamil Nadu police of assaulting people "for just walking on the road" and arresting them "for expressing opinions on social media".

This is atrocious and unacceptable statement by @AadhavArjuna (now deleted but became viral already). Very insensitive, trying to provoke youngsters, especially when Tamil Nadu is mourning the death of 41 innocent people. #KarurStampede #KarurTragedy pic.twitter.com/SqLSNKrBuu

Arjuna has also petitioned the Madras High Court, seeking CBI investigation into the stampede and permission for Vijay to visit victims’ families.

He accused police of mishandling the crowd and alleged a DMK-led conspiracy involving power cuts and deliberate crowd mismanagement.

In response, the DMK blamed TVK for failing to follow safety protocols. CM MK Stalin had urged calm and assured action based on a judicial inquiry.
