New Delhi, August 13
Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday urged citizens to be alert against “sinister forces with pernicious designs to destabilise Bharat and impede progress”. Addressing citizens before flagging off the Har Ghar Tiranga bike rally from Bharat Mandapam, the V-P said: “Some people are unable to digest the rapid pace of our development. They want to create obstacles, to bring instability.”
Dhankhar stressed the symbolic significance of the Tricolour, urging citizens to draw inspiration from it to unite against adversarial forces. He appealed to people to keep the interest of the nation paramount in all situations.
Underscoring the significance of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, launched in 2021, Dhankhar said the initiative was aimed at awakening a deep sense of patriotism and national pride among all Indians, fostering a spirit of unity. He also made note of the evolution of the campaign into a ‘jan andolan’ today.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign from Ahmedabad as part of the BJP’s ongoing five-day Tiranga Yatra events, which will culminate with the celebration of Independence Day on August 15.
