Top Congress leaders on Tuesday ticked off Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar over the Chinnaswamy stadium stampede in Bengaluru in which 11 people lost their lives.

The Karnataka Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister were told that engagement in celebrations was not a concern of the state government and human lives were important.

The Chief Minister had yesterday said he was not part or organising the celebration in the wake of Royal Challengers Bengaluru winning the IPL tournament this year and he only went to be part of the celebrations.

Kharge and Rahul also told the state leadership to recount castes by addressing concerns of those left over in the caste survey conducted by the state ten years ago.
