Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will benefit from what Assam chief minister is doing, it’s getting publicity, says Rahul Gandhi
Guwahati, January 23
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra would benefit from what Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is doing as it is getting publicity.
Addressing a press conference, Gandhi said the Nyay Yatra had become the main issue in Assam.
He said stopping him from visiting a temple and university and preventing the ‘padyatra’ were intimidation tactics and that they would not get intimidated.
Gandhi said five pillars of justice would give strength to the country — participation, justice for youth, labourers, women and farmers.
Gandhi said, “We have invited INDIA parties to join the yatra; we will feel good if our partners join us.”
When asked about the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, he said, “It’s the BJP’s political programme; we have clarity about our pillars of justice.”
Gandhi said, “On the one side, there is Narendra Modi-RSS, on the other there is INDIA bloc, which is an ideology.”
