Bihar BJP legislature party meet: UP deputy chief minister Maurya named Central observer

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has been named the Central observer for the BJP legislature party meeting in Patna today to elect the leader.

In an order issued here in the national capital, BJP president JP Nadda approved the appointment of Maurya as the central observer on behalf of the party to oversee the election of the BJP legislature Party leader in the Bihar Assembly.

Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and former union Minister Sadhavi Niranjan Jyoti have been named as co-observers along with Maurya.

All ruling National Democratic Alliance parties are holding their legislature party meetings in Patna today to elect their respective leaders.

After the election of party leaders, Nitish Kumar is said to be chosen the leader of the NDA legislature party in the Bihar Assembly.

The oath taking ceremony of the new Bihar government is expected on November 20.

The Tribune has reliably learnt that the Bihar Cabinet is expected to grant record representation to women this year. This, the party says, will be a token of gratitude to the massive mandate that the NDA believes it received from women in this election.

The NDA won 202 out of 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly, reducing the opposition, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress to smithereens in the eastern state.
