BSF-Bangladesh Border Guard Director General-level talks in Dhaka from Aug 25-28
The 56th Director General-level border co-ordination conference between India’s Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will take place in Dhaka between August 25 and 28.
The BSF delegation will be led by Daljit Singh Chawdhary, Director General, BSF, who will hold talks with his BGB counterpart Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui.
Issues ranging from measures to prevent trans-border crimes, prevention against attacks on BSF personnel and Indian civilians by Bangladesh based miscreants and nationals, construction of single row fence, action against Indian insurgent groups in Bangladesh, issues related to border infrastructure, and joint efforts for effective implementation of Coordinated Border Management Plan (CBMP) as well as Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) will be discussed during the conference, official sources said.
The DG-level conference between the two countries is organised once in six months, simultaneously in both the nations.
The last BSF-BGB border co-ordination conference was held from February 17 to 20 at New Delhi.
