In an unexpected move, Canada has paused negotiations for a free trade agreement (FTA) with India and now both countries will mutually decide on resuming the talks in the future, an official said.

“We will decide by mutual agreement when negotiations will resume,” the official said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
