The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will develop a comprehensive document highlighting India’s rich contributions to mathematics. The 170–175 page monograph, titled ‘Bharatiya Ganit Parampara’, was approved during the CBSE governing body meeting held in June, the minutes of which were released last week.
The publication will chronicle key mathematical discoveries and innovations from ancient, medieval, and modern India. The CBSE has also decided to revise and update the Legal Studies curriculum for classes XI and XII in line with recent legal reforms. The revision will include the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), landmark legal judgments, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) in 2023–24.
