New Delhi, February 2

The Centre has notified the appointment of chief justices of the high courts of Rajasthan, Allahabad Uttarakhand, Orissa, Gauhati and Meghalaya.

Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal took to X to announce the appointments.

The new chief justices appointed were: Justice Arun Bhansali (Judge of Rajasthan High Court) -- Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court; Justice Manindra Mohan Srivastava (Acting Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court) -- Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court; Justice Ritu Bahri (Acting Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court) -- Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court; Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh (Judge, Patna High Court) -- Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court; Justice Vijay Bishnoi (Judge of Rajasthan High Court) -- Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court; and Justice S Vaidyanathan (Judge, Madras High Court) -- Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court.
