The Chinese embassy in India on Thursday made a public pitch for the resumption of flights between India and China. Sharing a video clip made by Chinese media, the embassy said: “They cannot help but ask: Why is India distancing itself from China?”

The video said India had stopped direct commercial flights from China in 2020. They had since not been restored, despite China expressing repeated hope of positive movement.
