The Supreme Court Collegium, led by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, on Thursday recommended the transfer of Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma of the Delhi High Court to the Calcutta High Court.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Collegium, which also included Justice BR Gavai, Justice Surya Kant, Justice Abhay S Oka and Justice Vikram Nath.

“The Supreme Court Collegium, at its meeting held on March 27, has recommended the transfer of Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma, judge, High Court of Delhi, to the High Court at Calcutta,” a Collegium resolution stated.

The Collegium’s resolution for the transfer of Justice Yashwant Varma from the Delhi High Court to the Allahabad High Court is pending with the government.
