Congress supports rights of tribal people: Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi, February 4
Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said his party stands for the rights of tribal people over water, forest and land resources. Gandhi was speaking during a road show in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad district as part of his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’. The objective was to save public sector units from being sold to private businesses and ensure justice to unemployed youths and tribes men of the country, Gandhi said.“The Congress stands for ‘Jal-jungle-jamin’ of the tribal people, for education and employment of youth. Economic imbalance, demonetisation, GST and unemployment have ruined the future of youth,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Congress launched its poll campaign in Kerala by countering the guarantees highlighted by PM Narendra Modi in Thrissur recently. Addressing a rally, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the “wrong policies” of the government led to inflation and unemployment.
